Abstract
A comunicação móvel confirmou nossa entrada na Era Pós-rede. Este estado de coisas não só desafiou a economia da indústria da televisão, tornando a “captura” de audiências mais complexa e aleatória, mas também a noção básica do próprio público. Ao fazê-lo, esta era pós-rede reativou, o debate que acompanhou a expansão das indústrias culturais e da introdução da era das redes, quando e onde “audiências” tornaram-se um substituto para “públicos” e “ratings” para a “aprovação popular”, e as “sondagens” por “debates públicos”. A Era atual oferece a oportunidade de refl etir sobre como as “audiências” foram e são construídas, como se manifestam, e qual impacto têm em nossa concepção, e na pesquisa dos “públicos”, da “massa” e da “plebe”.
