L'Europe de 1993. L'État, l'immigration et la restructuration de l'exclusion

Abstract
Face à la création d'une Europe unie, cet article identifie deux contradictions fondamentales caractérisant le rôle de l'État dans la régulation de l'immigration vers la Communauté européenne. La première : d'une part, la reproduction encore actuelle de l'idéologie et de la réalité institutionnelle de l'État-nation et, d'autre part, l'incapacité de cet État-nation à effectuer certains changements qui tiennent compte du processus d'immigration et île ses conséquences. La deuxième: d'une part, le discours hégémonique de l'État sur le contrôle de l'immigration et, d'autre part, la capacité réduite de l'État à réaliser un tel contrôle. En conclusion, cet article discute des relations entre processus de nationalisation et processus d'européanisation et traite de la restructuration des processus d'exclusion qui en découle.
