Abstract
La gestion de la forêt publique québécoise a connu des transformations notables au cours des dernières décennies. Les forêts ne sont plus uniquement entre les mains de quelques industriels qui peuvent en disposer à leur guise. Leur monopole est maintenant ébranlé par de nouveaux acteurs locaux que l’État encourage à participer autant à la gestion qu’à l’exploitation forestière. Ces transformations ne se font pas sans une reconfiguration des rapports entre l’État québécois, propriétaire formel des forêts, et les territoires locaux et régionaux. L’Outaouais québécois fournit un bon exemple de l’émergence de cette gouvernance du patrimoine forestier où se côtoient les intérêts privés, publics et associatifs.
