Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We present measurements of the branching fractions for the decays ${B}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{a}_{1}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}(1260){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ and ${B}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{a}_{1}^{0}(1260){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ from a data sample of $232\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs produced in ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ annihilation through the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance. We measure the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}\mathbf{(}{B}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{a}_{1}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}(1260){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}\mathbf{)}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}\mathcal{B}\mathbf{(}{a}_{1}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}(1260)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\mathbf{)}=(13.2\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}2.7\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}2.1)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$ with a significance of $4.2\ensuremath{\sigma}$, and the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}\mathbf{(}{B}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{a}_{1}^{0}(1260){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\mathbf{)}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}\mathcal{B}\mathbf{(}{a}_{1}^{0}(1260)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}\mathbf{)}=(20.4\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}4.7\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}3.4)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$ with a significance of $3.8\ensuremath{\sigma}$, where the first error quoted is statistical and the second is systematic.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
