Abstract
85 (53,1%) out of 160 municipal and district inpatient care establishments and 303 (53,40%) out of 568 outpatient and polyclinic institutions in Moscow provide services on a feepaying basis. Inspection procedures carried out by Roszdravnadzor in the city of Moscow and Moscow Oblast revealed a set of violations in offering medical services to the public on the commercial basis. In 2008 and in the first quarter of 2009 Roszdravnadzor accounted for 78 surveillance procedures of similar kind. The article describes the main disadvantages revealed during the inspections.
