Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Understanding and working with women who have sexually offended require an understanding of the nature of sexual offending by women, and gender-specific assessment, treatment, and management strategies. This chapter provides an overview of these issues. Female sexual offenders, like their male counterparts, engage in a variety of sexually offending behaviors against both male and female victims. Another type of behavior viewed as “sexual offending” is the failure to intervene in cases of child sexual abuse. This refers to women who do not intervene in cases of child sexual abuse that typically occur within the home. The aim of treatment with female sexual offenders, just like with all offenders, is to address the issues directly related to their criminal behavior in order to reduce the risk of recidivism. Gender-responsive treatment entails considering the cognitive, personality, and learning styles and abilities of female sexual offenders when providing them with correctional interventions.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
