Abstract
El presente trabajo es un comentario y paráfrasis del capítulo decimotercero de la Segunda Parte del Quijote. Tras plantear algunas premisas metodológicas acerca de la posibilidad de este tipo de análisis, se establecen las coordenadas en que se sitúa el texto (la Parte, la secuencia, las unidades contiguas) y se estudian sus componentes concretos (diálogo, tema del vino, cuento folklórico). La idea general que preside estas páginas es ver la manera en que Cervantes trata la cultura del labrador, sus formas humanas de relación y cómo, desde una visión totalmente opuesta ¿la letrada, literaria y humanista de su ambiente y profesión¿ es capaz de comprender y ser receptivo a la alteridad fundamental que cruza toda la novela: la honda, arcaica y jocunda cultura del iletrado, manifiesta en Sancho de modo ejemplar.
