Abstract
The conference aimed to ‘explore new ways to think about interfaces between narrative and art’. My paper contrasted the collage work of Graham Rawle, who uses cut-ups from Women’s Own and other UK women’s magazines, with that of Julie Doucet, a French Canadian artist who uses cut-ups from Elle. Theoretical touch-points included Situationism and punk.
