Abstract
L'article aborde la question du modèle de gestion du social tel que remis en cause par la crise de l'État-providence. À la lumière de l'expérience montréalaise et en étudiant plus particulièrement les organismes communautaires qui offrent des services aux jeunes, l'auteur examine comment le milieu communautaire, qui semble avoir acquis un nouveau pragmatisme, s'engage sur la voie du partenariat. Faisant appel à la sociologie des mouvements sociaux et à une problématique institutionnelle, il esquisse une perspective qui met en lumière les principales contradictions que doivent affronter de part et d'autre les acteurs communautaires et la classe politique.
