La représentation physique et symbolique des communautés immigrantes à la télévision francophone concerne un enjeu sociopolitique important dans la mesure où la télévision peut être considérée comme un support privilégié d’actions culturelles visant l’intégration sociale des nouveaux arrivants dans la société d’accueil. Cet article propose l’analyse d’un corpus concernant les perceptions respectives de groupes de Québécois francophones et de groupes formés de membres de communautés immigrantes en regard de la télévision francophone du Québec. Les auteurs tentent notamment de répondre à la question suivante : une augmentation de la présence de représentants des communautés immigrantes dans la programmation de la télévision francophone du Québec peut-elle contribuer à une modification de l’image sociale de cette télévision et en conséquence, accroître l’attrait et l’écoute de cette télévision par les publics formés des communautés immigrantes ?
