Abstract
Upplevelsen hos kvinnor med brostcancersjukdom och symtom liksom behandlingen och dess konsekvenser kan variera mycket och ha en inverkan pa livskvaliteten. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa hur kvinnors livskvalitet paverkas av brostcancer efter diagnos och behandling. Metoden bestod av granskning och analys av 18 vetenskapliga artiklar varav 14 var kontrollerade randomiserade studier gjorda i Australien, Belgien, Canada, Italien, Norge, Schweiz, Sverige och USA publicerade 1997-99. I resultatet framkom att tankar om sjukdomen, familjen, ekonomin och framtiden paverkade kvinnornas livskvalitet. Kvinnornas ovriga symtom kunde sammanfattas med fatigue sasom, somnsvarigheter, koncentrationssvarigheter och humorsvangningar. Kunskapen om hur dessa faktorer paverkar kvinnorna i samband med brostcancer ar viktig for att sjukskoterskor ska kunna ge battre information och stod genom att kanna till fatigue och dess symtom.
