Abstract
Sarah Blanchet est une amie rencontrée lors de notre année d'assistanat en Écosse en 1987-1988. Elle est restée en Grande-Bretagne, je suis rentrée en France. Deux chemins qui nous ont toutes deux conduites à devenir enseignantes, mais selon des voies différentes, sans doute en raison de nos personnalités et aussi parce que l'on ne décide pas toujours tout ! Elle évoque ses choix de manière personnelle, explique son parcours et les différentes formes d'enseignement qu'elle a pratiquées, aussi bien en Grande-Bretagne qu'en France. Etre contractuelle présente certes des inconvénients, mais elle en retient avant tout les avantages, elle revendique la liberté que cela représente.
