Le texte1 presente une analyse de la problematisation sous-jacente aux mises en situation proposees pour l’etude de la diversite des Autochtones vers 1980 dans cinq collections de manuels scolaires. L’analyse caracterise les fonctions et les dimensions associees a la problematisation. Les resultats revelent la predominance des fonctions de guidance et d’interessement ainsi que la sollicitation des dimensions epistemologique et psychologique dans une perspective descriptive. La problematisation est ainsi centree sur une exposition du savoir soutenue par une mise en scene qui se veut attrayante pour l’eleve, mais qui demeure en marge du savoir. [1] Le texte s’inscrit dans le cadre des travaux d’une recherche subventionnee : La problematisation des apprentissages au primaire : le point de vue des formateurs, des futurs enseignants et des manuels scolaires (CRSH 2009- 2012, Programme de recherche ordinaire, n° 410-2009-1684 sous la direction de Johanne Lebrun, cochercheurs : Abdelkrim Hasni, Marie-Pier Morin et Yves Lenoir).
