Abstract
Na medida em que a cultura das sociedades industriais entrou na era da expertise profissional, como a intervenção racional dos especialistas contribuiu para a construção social da infância? O objetivo desse artigo consiste em identificar dois modelos profissionais médicos que investiram no campo da infância em Quebec entre 1930 e 1970, e perceber sua influência na sua configuração. Na verdade, trata-se de compreender a maneira pela qual os conhecimentos científicos se tornam, ao longo do tempo, quadros de referência na educação das crianças.Palavras-chave: Infância, representação social, discurso médico, educação infantilAbstract Childhood under the regard of medical expertise: 1930-1970Given the way the culture of industrial society has influenced professional expertise, we can ourselves ask how the rational intervention of specialist has contributed to the social construction of the child. The purpose of this paper is outline the two medical models that defined childhood in Quebec, Canada between 1930-1970 as well to grasp their influence. The key point of his analysis is to show how scientific knowledge progressively became the reference in childhood education.
