Abstract
Si l’un des enjeux de la responsabilité sociale de l’entreprise est d’imposer un modèle « d’entreprise providence » à côté des États-nations, on comprend que l’enjeu identitaire des chartes éthiques soit d’importance. La solidarité mise en œuvre par l’entreprise ne peut en effet établir sa légitimité ni sur la démonstration de son efficacité, ni sur son ancrage démocratique. Elle doit donc mobiliser d’autres ressources : le contrôle des identités collectives et des aspirations à la fraternité des salariés sont deux leviers que l’entreprise actionne pour asseoir ses choix de solidarité privée face aux solidarités démocratiques portées par les États-providences.
