Time use research has been used throughout this century to examine both objective and subjective aspects of human behavior in a wide variety of fields and purposes. In recent years, the methodology has become increasingly sophisticated, both in terms of collection and analysis. The intent of this volume is both to illustrate applications of the time use method and to provide guidelines for those wishing to incorporate it into their research.
