Abstract
Life history and arts-informed research were employed to explore the life experiences of three female educators who identified as queer and out in their communities. Queer the ory was used as a theoretical framework to approach sexual identity and research methodologies. Conversations with participants revealed differing experiences with coming out related to privilege and marginalization. One participant experienced the art project as a transformative learning experience. Further analysis by the researcher is forthcoming.
