A structural study of lithium m-terphenyl carboxylates
Bibliographic record
Abstract
During large-scale preparations of 2,6-dimesitylbenzoic acid, Mes 2 ArCO 2 H (Mes = 2,4,6-trimethylphenyl), a highly insoluble by-product precipitated and was isolated. The material formed in modest yield but significantly impacted the preparation of Mes 2 ArCO 2 H. The isolated product could be dissolved, with difficulty, in acetone, THF or pyridine. Crystallization under the evaporating solvents resulted in the isolation of three new compounds in relatively low yield. From pyridine the compound [Mes 2 ArCO 2 Li(H 2 O)(py)] 2 was recovered. Recrystallization from THF gave (Mes 2 ArCO 2 H)(Mes 2 ArCO 2 )Li(THF) 2 , which has been shown to contain both neutral (benzoic acid) and anionic (benzoate) ligands. Finally, crystals of [Mes 2 ArCO 2 (H 2 O)Li(μ-OH 2 )(μ-O 2 CMes 2 Ar)Li(H 2 O)] 2 ·2H 2 O were isolated from the acetone solution. These new solids were characterized using single crystal X-ray structural determinations.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
