> Les canaux ioniques dpendants du voltage (VGIC) reprsentent une large famille de protines canalaires assurant le passage d'ions de part et d'autre de la membrane plasmique. Les VGIC ont la particularit d'tre dots d'un domaine senseur de voltage (VSD). Cette unit rgule l'activit des VGIC en fonction des variations de potentiel membranaire. Rcemment, des mutations dcrites dans le VSD ont conduit la dcouverte d'une nouvelle voie de permation directement localise au sein de ce domaine : le pore omga. Au vu du grand nombre de protines prsentant un VSD et de leur rle crucial dans diverses fonctions physiologiques, dchiffrer le potentiel pathognique du pore omga s'avre dsormais essentiel. < Le mouvement du segment S4 possdant de 3 7 charges positives (apportes par des arginines et des lysines) induit un changement de conformation du pore aboutissant son ouverture, et donc au passage des ions. Rcemment, plusieurs tudes ont montr que des modifications du VSD peuvent gnrer une autre voie pour le passage des ions appele pore omga. L'objectif de cette revue est de prsenter le concept de pore omga, ses proprits biophysiques ainsi que son potentiel pathologique.
