Abstract
Ce texte remet en cause la forme sociétale décrite par cette notion de société post-industrielle, avancée notamment par Touraine, sur la base de la trop grande parenté des principales caractéristiques structurelles qui lui sont prêtées avec celle des sociétés industrielles du capitalisme plus classique. Ces traits, bien loin d'engager dans la post-industrialisation, ne traduisent-ils pas les voies les plus achevées et conséquentes de l'industrialisation capitaliste? D'où un nouveau défi se présenterait à l'analyse sociologique contemporaine puisque son champ demeurerait toujours à conquérir, du fait que les sociétés contemporaines seraient tout de même grosses de mutations sociales difficiles à identifier. Au travers des tensions, crises et conflits actuels et à venir, s'impose la tâche de mieux nommer et dégager les nouveaux rapports sociaux, alors débarrassés des réminiscences d'aboutissements hégémoniques de l'industrialisation capitaliste.
