Abstract
Le canon 1063 envisage un soin pastoral a la preparation au mariage qui commence a l'enfance et se continue pendant toute une vie. L'article explore comment l'Eglise devrait aborder le soin pastoral au mariage, en commencant avec l'etude de la preparation au mariage telle que presentee dans le Code de 1917, puisque c'est a la lumiere de ce canon que la nouveaute du canon 1063 peut etre appreciee. Le canon est examine en procedant a une serie de questions et de reponses soulevees par le canon lui-meme. Par exemple: qui est responsable du soin pastoral a la celebration du mariage? Quelle est la nature de l'obligation pour ceux qui en sont responsables? Et quand et comment doit-on remplir cette obligation? Les reponses sont donnees par le moyen d'une recherche sur les normes et les politiques en matiere de preparation au mariage en Irlande, en Coree, et avec une reference speciale a l'Espagne et aux Etats-Unis. Quelques questions et difficultes canoniques rattachees au soin pastoral a la celebration du mariage sont ensuite revues, telles que la foi et la preparation au mariage, les cours de preparation au mariage et le droit au mariage dans l'Eglise, ainsi que le statut juridique de ces directives et politiques.
