Abstract
Cette note de recherche retrace la situation de la colonie Álvaro Obregón de la municipalité de Juchitán, dans l’État d’Oaxaca, au Mexique. L’auteure décrit la façon dont la communauté autochtone binnizá (zapotèque), menacée par l’installation d’un projet énergétique éolien sur son territoire, s’est mobilisée pour retrouver son autonomie politique et exercer le pouvoir communal au moyen d’une assemblée générale de citoyens. L’objectif de cette recherche est d’analyser la manière dont les peuples amérindiens d’Oaxaca ont réagi face aux investissements majeurs des projets de développement, soutenus par les États nationaux et les secteurs privés, qui menaçaient leur territoire.
