Abstract
Cet article vise à éprouver le critère du diagnostic du TDA/H en tant que prédicteur du rendement en résolution de problèmes mathématiques. Pour ce faire, nous avons collaboré avec 522 élèves, soit : 67 élèves ayant un TDA/H et 455 élèves n’ayant pas ce diagnostic. Les résultats de l’étude permettent d’affirmer que le diagnostic du TDA/H justifie 7% de la variance en résolution de problèmes mathématiques. Par ailleurs, lorsque d’autres facteurs intrinsèques à l’élève sont considérés, le TDA/H constitue un prédicteur peu valide. Dans ce contexte, le niveau d’habiletés en lecture, le sexe, le niveau socioéconomique, le niveau d’attention sélective et l’amotivation représentent de meilleurs prédicteurs du rendement en résolution de problèmes mathématiques.
