The Smithian Dynamics and the Braudel Bell Jar: a Perspective of the Hayekian Conception of the Extended Order of Human Cooperation

Abstract
By employing the concepts of “the Smithian Dynamics” and “the Braudel Bell Jar”, this paper investigates the interrelations between institutional change and economic growth. Firstly the paper finds that the mutual promotion of division of labor and extension of market constitute the Smithian Dynamics. From a perspective of both the Hayekian conception of the extended order of human cooperation and the role of the legal property system in formation of capital and in function of a modern market economy, this paper discusses the institutional conditions of the Smithian dynamics of economic growth in a society. From a perspective of the spontaneous expansion of the extended order of human cooperation, the Braudel bell jars are just regarded as those institutional arrangements and social mechanisms that restrain formation and function of the Smithian dynamics. Therefore, to break those very kinds of the Braudel bell jar should be the main orientation of institutional changes. Keywords: extended order of human cooperation, Smithian dynamics, Braudel bell jar, legal property system, representational system of assets Resume: Cet essai traite, a travers la recherche des relations interactives entre la Dynamique Smithienne et la Cloche Braudellienne, les liens entre la mutation du regime et la croissance economique. Tout d’abord, l’article propose que la stimulation reciproque de la division du travail et l’elargissement du marche constitue la dynamique simithienne de la croissance economique de toute societe. Ensuite, il discute les conditions sociales de la formation de la dynamique smithienne d’apres la theorie de l’Ordre spontane-extension de Hayek, et etudie le probleme de l’environement des politiques sur la formation du mecanisme de dynamique a travers l’analyse du role du systeme juciciaire sur la propriete dans la formation du capital et le fonctionnement du marche. Si l’on etudie la dynamique smithienne de la croissanc eeconomique dans la perspective de l’ordre d’extention de la cooperation humaine qui est apparu spontanement et developpe sans cesse, on trouvera que la cloche braudellienne est en fait l’ organisaton et le mecanisme sociaux qui entravent la formation et la mise en valeur de la dynamique smithienne. Donc, briser ces cloches diverses devrait constituer l’orientation et la force motrice de la mutaiton du regime de la societe humaine. Mots-cles : ordre d’extention de la cooperation humaine, dynamique smithienne, cloche braudellienne, systeme juciaire sur la propriete, systeme d’interpretation du capital 摘要:本文從“斯密動力 ”與“布羅代爾鐘罩 ”相互作用和關聯的研究視角探討了制度變遷與經濟增長的內在關係。本文首先提出，勞動分工和市場擴展的相互促進，構成了任何社會經濟成長的 “斯密動力 ”。接著，沿著哈耶克的“自發－擴展秩序理論 ”的分析理路，文章討論了斯密動力形成的社會條件，並進而從財產的法律制度在資產形成和市場運行中作用機制的分析視角，探討了經濟增長的斯密動力機制形成的制度環境問題。如果從人類合作的擴展秩序自發生成和不斷擴展的視角研究經濟增長的斯密動力，就會發現，“布羅代爾鐘罩”原來是那些阻礙 “斯密動力 ”形成和發揮的社會安排和社會機制。因此，打破阻礙和約束 “斯密動力 ”形成和發揮的種種“布羅代爾鐘罩 ”，應該是人類社會制度變遷的主要指向和動因。 關鍵詞：人類合作的擴展秩序；斯密動力；布羅代爾鐘罩；財產的法律制度；資產表詮制度
