Abstract
El erudito mexicano Genaro Estrada (1887-1937), gran lector de clásicos y modernos, encontró en los libros sus primeras experiencias españolas. Sus vínculos con España, sin embargo, se fortalecieron con la presencia de amigos mexicanos en aquel país, como fue el caso de Alfonso Reyes, con quien sostuvo un constante y amistoso dialogar epistolar a partir de 1916.
