El estudio de las narraciones de las viajeras canadienses y francesas del siglo XIX puede ser sorprendente teniendo en cuenta que la imagen\n\t\t\t\t tradicional de la mujer de esa época está estrechamente relacionada con una\n\t\t\t\t función doméstica asumiendo un estilo de vida sedentario. Sin embargo, diarios,\n\t\t\t\t cartas, revistas y otros documentos lo confirman: las mujeres viajan y a veces incluso toman la pluma para contar sus aventuras. En este artículo se analiza\n\t\t\t\t cómo estas viajeras se representan a sí mismas y ciertas estrategias discursivas\n\t\t\t\t que utilizan para hacer que su situación sea aceptable en la norma en el contexto\n\t\t\t\t de la época. Por lo tanto, vemos que su historia se ve a menudo legitimada por\n\t\t\t\t adelantado por el lugar visitado por el motivo piadoso y caritativo de su viaje y\n\t\t\t\t en muchos aspectos da una imagen conformista de la mujer y de su papel social.\n\t\t\t\t Pero más allá de este acuerdo y el discurso previsto, también es posible observar\n\t\t\t\t en las historias la organización y el desarrollo de un discurso con el que se toma\n\t\t\t\t la palabra tanto ideológica como social y literariamente.
