A new technique for speaker-independent isolated word recognition
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Speech recognition system using dynamic time warping are considered. It is proposed to generate a single pattern to be used as a time aligning pattern (TAP) for all the words in the system (reference and unknowns). An unknown word is time-aligned using only the TAP, and the distance between the time-aligned version and any of the reference templates (which have already been time-aligned with the tap in the training mode) is directly calculated without any further need for dynamic time warping (DTW) operations. A great reduction in the processing time results. Two methods for generating TAPs are proposed. In both cases, the processing time savings, compared to DTW, is in the range of 95% for comparable recognition accuracy.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
