Abstract
Se examina cómo la imposición del proceso de colonización cambió la forma de vida de la gente, mostrando además que dicho proceso no terminó con la independencia de las colonias o con la creación de Estados-Naciones autónomas como Canadá o las repúblicas de Centro y Sudamérica. Se muestra la existencia de sistemas similares de colonización contra la gente indígena en nuestras sociedades. Este artículo sugiere la necesidad de reforzar los estudios indígenas para otorgarles una voz a las víctimas mediante el reconocimiento social.
