Abstract
Les objectifs de cette recherche consistent à expérimenter un assistant à la réalisation de tâches (ART) chez des personnes présentant une déficience intellectuelle (DI) et d’en évaluer l’impact sur leur autodétermination. L’ART est un téléphone intelligent muni d’une version francophone des applications Discovery Desktop et Visual Assistant . Quinze personnes, présentant une DI sans troubles associés, l’ont expérimenté pendant 8 semaines. Des entretiens de recherche semi-structurés ont été menés auprès d’un proche et d’un intervenant pour chacune des personnes avant et après l’intervention. Une analyse thématique des verbatim soutient l’hypothèse que des conditions particulières doivent être respectées lors de la sélection d’une tâche afin d’observer des impacts importants tant au niveau du développement de l’autodétermination des personnes que des pratiques d’intervention innovantes des parents et des intervenants.
