Abstract
Resumen: El propósito de este artículo es presentar una visión del desarrollo de frontera en Colombia entre 1850 y 1930, centrándose principalmente en dos preguntas: primera, ¿cómo se llevó a cabo la consolidación de la propiedad privada en tierras públicas? y segunda, ¿qué sistemas de tenencia y de trabajo se desarrollaron en estas zonas bajo el impulso de la economía de exportación agrícola?
