Abstract
Afin de mieux cerner le problème de la diversité historique et de l'enracinement des politiques familiales dans leur contexte culturel, l'article propose un regard comparatif sur la situation allemande avant et après la réunification intervenue en 1989. Ce cas particulier est présenté comme une sorte de laboratoire socio-historique permettant de mesurer l'impact des enjeux proprement politiques dans l'évolution des formes de régulation socio-politique de la famille et de réfuter les comparaisons anhistoriques des « welfare cultures » à base de stéréotypes interculturels pseudo-scientifiques. En même temps, ce cas national spécifique peut servir à une réflexion critique autour de la construction européenne et de ses enjeux sociaux et politiques.
