Les résultats préliminaires d’une enquête menée en ligne auprès de jeunes lesbiennes canadiennes francophones révèlent, notamment, que la majorité des 362 répondantes se perçoivent à l’aune du dispositif de différenciation des sexes et des sexualités, plutôt qu’à celui, attendu en cette ère postmoderne, du dé/constructivisme. S’agit-il de l’influence des phénomènes d’hypersexualisation médiatique des jeunes femmes et de pornographisation de la culture populaire fort présents actuellement en Amérique du Nord ? Ou d’une stratégie de survie dans un contexte de backlash et d’invisibilisation du lesbianisme (non factice) ? Ou encore d’une position de repli face au cumul des discriminations que subit ce groupe social sur le plan du sexe, de la sexualité, de la langue, de la culture, mais également, dans les cas d’appartenance à une minorité dite « visible » ou migrante, de la « race » et de la citoyenneté ?
