Abstract
L'auteur présente des documents renseignant sur la condition actuelle de la femme dans les syndicats américains. Les statistiques démontrent l'avantage économique que représentent ces membres. Les écrits traitant des avantages sociaux propres aux femmes syndiquées sont aussi considérés. Le mouvement syndical américain longtemps dominé par les hommes a tendance à abandonner ses pratiques discriminatoires envers les femmes. À la suite d'actions intentées par le gouvernement, et plus récemment de réunions et de conférences organisées par les activistes féminines, on s'attend que les syndicats américains défendent avec plus de vigueur, à l'avenir, les intérêts des femmes.
