Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The Henry F. Smyth Jr. Award is presented to an individual who has recognized the needs of the industrial hygiene profession and has made major contributions to fulfill those needs, thereby contributing to the improvement of the public welfare. The American Academy of Industrial Hygiene (now the Academy of Industrial Hygiene) established the Henry F. Smyth Jr. Award in 1981. Henry F. Smyth Jr. was a dedicated teacher and a productive researcher whose projects enhanced the profession. This year's Award was presented to Harry Ettinger, CIH, PE, at the 2004 Professional Conference on Industrial Hygiene (PCIH) in Montreal, Canada.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
