Abstract
Zusammenfassung Eine ideale Methode zur Untersuchung des äußerst variablen Verlaufs von bipolaren Störungen stellen Longitudinalstudien dar. Diese Methode ist jedoch kostspielig und anfällig für Datenerhebungsfehler. Durch eine automatisierte Erhebung von Daten könnten sowohl eine Fehlerreduzierung erreicht als auch die Datenqualität verbessert werden. Die ChronoRecord®-Software, die eine elektronische Datenerfassung ermöglicht, kann von Patienten auf den Heimcomputer installiert werden, damit diese täglich ihre Stimmung, die eingenommene Medikation, die Schlafdauer, wichtige Lebensereignisse, Gewichtsveränderungen und gegebenenfalls den Menstruationszyklus aufzeichnen können. In der hier vorgestellten ChronoRecord- Pilotstudie zeigten 80 der 96 eingeschlossenen Patienten mit bipolarer Störung eine hohe Akzeptanz für dieses neue, weltweit erste Computer-gestützte Instrument zur Selbsterfassung von affektiver Symptomatik, wobei über drei Monate täglich Daten aufgezeichnet wurden. Dieses Selbstbeurteilungssystem liefert eine laufende Patientenrückmeldung, während es gleichzeitig eine präzise longitudinale Datensammlung für Forschungszwecke ermöglicht.
