Abstract
Zusammenfassung Ein dreieinhalbjähriger Labrador-Retriever-Rüde zeigte vor Erstvorstellung eine kurze Krankheitsphase mit Erbrechen, Apathie und Fieber. Bei der Ultraschalluntersuchung des Abdomens konnten am linken und rechten Leberlappen große, rundliche hyperechogene Massen dargestellt werden. Die zytologische und die bakteriologische Untersuchung ergaben eine neutrophile Hepatitis ohne spezifischen Erregernachweis. Während der Behandlung mit Doxycyclin ließ sich in gepaarten Serumproben ein vierfacher Abfall der komplementbindenden Antikörper gegen Leptospira (L.) icterohaemorrhagiae und L. sejroe nachweisen. Der Patient blieb klinisch und labordiagnostisch bis zur Probelaparotomie unauffällig. Sonographisch wurde jedoch ein Fortschreiten der hepatischen Läsionen mit jetzt kavernösen Hohlräumen festgestellt. Die Probelaparotomie zeigte umfangreiche hepatische Umfangsvermehrungen und der Hund wurde euthanasiert. Die histopathologische Untersuchung ergab multiple konfluierende Granulome der Leber mit Nachweis parasitärer Strukturen, deren Morphologie mit dem Finnenstadium von Echinococcus (E.) multilocularis vereinbar war.
