Abstract
"El presente estudio es un intento de aproximación al papel jugado por la masonería en la construcción nacional de dos ex-colonias españolas: Cuba y Marruecos, durante el último tercio del siglo XIX y primer cuarto del siglo XX. Se trata de una primera exploración de un tema de gran interés intercultural, social y político. Se parte de la base de considerar a la masonería como crisol de culturas y, por ello, se yuxtaponen ambos procesos, elcubano y el marroquí, al objeto de realizar futuros estudios comparativos. Se comprueba la difícil integración del ciudadano negro en Cuba, mientras que en Marruecos los masones tratan de crear una comunidad multicultural basadaen la tolerancia y la fraternidad, aunque se rechaza el nacionalismo."
