Nous présentons une méthode d’estimation de la moyenne mensuelle du rayonnement global reçu au sol par jour sous un ciel clair et moyen. Elle permet de valider des modèles météorologiques cités dans la littérature. Ces derniers utilisent des relations qui permettent de transformer les données mesurées d’insolation en flux global d’irradiation solaire. Ceci est en parfaite adéquation avec la nature du réseau de mesures algérien, caractérisé par une faible densité de stations radiométriques, mais qui fournit des données de durée d’ensoleillement. Notre étude prend en charge deux modèles : le modèle d’Angstrom et le modèle de Coppolino. Les résultats obtenus montrent que ce dernier modèle permet de prédire la moyenne mensuelle du rayonnement journalier avec une bonne fiabilité.
