Abstract
Depuis quelques années sont apparus au Québec des discours fort critiques sur l’héritage institutionnel de la Révolution tranquille. Cet article propose un examen approfondi de ces discours, regroupés sous les bannières de néolibéral et de postmoderne. Principalement préoccupés par les conséquences économiques de l’étatisme hérité de la Révolution tranquille, les discours à tendance néolibérale, il est démontré, reposent sur de faibles assises empiriques. Les discours plus post-modernes, pour leur part, souffrent souvent de sévères lacunes sur le plan théorique. Il est donc avancé que ces discours constituent de bien faibles prémisses pour justifier une réforme en profondeur des institutions québécoises héritées de la Révolution tranquille.
