Plusieurs personnes entretiennent aujourd’hui un rapport non traditionnel à leurs études universitaires, comme en témoignent, notamment, les études à temps partiel, les retours aux études et la parentalité étudiante. Parmi ces personnes, les femmes sont surreprésentées. Si ces façons non traditionnelles de réaliser un projet d’études contribuent à l’accès des femmes aux études universitaires et à la persévérance à cet égard, elles peuvent aussi s’accompagner de risques, voire de désavantages, en raison des défis qu’elles comportent et de certaines règles qui existent au sein des universités et de l’État québécois. Les constats des deux auteures révèlent un terreau fertile pour d’éventuelles recherches féministes.
