Abstract
Dans l’économie des genres des années 1930, le roman occupe une place importante, légitimée, entre autres, par la parution de Maria Chapdelaine . Pourtant les poètes continuent à être des personnages reconnus, présents dans les périodiques et dans les institutions culturelles. L’auteure fait l’hypothèse que c’est la radio qui manifeste le mieux l’importance des poètes dans l’espace public, elle qui fait entendre à un public élargi leur poésie et même parfois leur voix. Elle se penche principalement sur les émissions de poésie animées par Robert Choquette et sur L’heure provinciale afin de mieux comprendre le statut de la poésie et des poètes dans la société québécoise des années 1930, et le rôle de l’oralisation de la poésie à la radio dans sa diffusion et sa légitimation.
