Abstract
Les services publics organisés en réseaux nationaux ou locaux contribuent à la cohésion sociale par de multiples voies, dont l'aménagement égalitaire du territoire. Cette production de cohésion passe également par les relations de service en contact direct avec les usagers. Une observation du fonctionnement des services de guichets postaux révèle qu'outre le service normal, efficace, rentable, les agents postaux doivent également assurer un service «hors normes » entraîné par la prise en charge de populations en difficulté. Le coût de cette prise en charge entre en concurrence avec une logique de recherche de profit. La solidarité et la recherche d'équité dans la relation de service ont toutefois un prix.
