Abstract
Les musées de l’agriculture et de la vie rurale conservent la mémoire du passé agricole et de la vie des campagnes françaises. Le patrimoine du cheval des paysans y est très présent, instruments pour l’élevage et les soins, harnachements, véhicules de transport hippomobile de toute sorte (charrettes, grands chariots à quatre roues, tombereaux…). Le travail des maréchaux ferrants, charrons, bourreliers y est présenté. Photographies, dessins, archives, ouvrages techniques et témoignages documentent les objets conservés. Ce patrimoine parfois menacé est aussi un patrimoine vivant grâce à de nombreuses animations qui attirent un public important.
