La terminologie de référence au service de la langue française au Québec et son usage dans le domaine de l’informatique

Abstract
Cet article traite du degré d’intégration de la terminologie informatique officialisée dans les communications institutionnalisées. Son objectif est d’évaluer l’impact de la production et de la diffusion des recommandations linguistiques par l’Office québécois de la langue française. Pour cela, j’ai adopté le protocole terminométrique élaboré par Jean Quirion (2000) et mesuré, à partir d’un corpus constitué de sites Web d’entreprises informatiques, le degré d’implantation des termes officialisés du sous-domaine des périphériques informatiques ainsi que celui de leurs concurrents français et anglais. L’étude révèle que les termes officialisés sont largement implantés dans le corpus et atteste de l’importance des enquêtes mesurant l’implantation terminologique dans un contexte d’aménagement linguistique.
