Abstract
Tanto os estudos sobre organizaes familiares quanto aqueles sobre as organizaes intensivas em conhecimento evoluem e contribuem para o avano dos estudos organizacionais. Mesmo se esses dois contextos organizacionais sugerem dinmicas socioculturais similares, foram explorados separadamente pela literatura organizacional. Esta pesquisa desenvolve um esquema conceitual que integra esses dois contextos e prope a noo de organizao familiar intensiva em conhecimento. Para este fim, as singularidades das organizaes familiares e das organizaes intensivas em conhecimento so ressaltadas. O principal resultado desta pesquisa consiste no entendimento da dinmica sociocultural das organizaes familiares intensivas em conhecimento e da sua capacidade em fornecer subsdios para se repensarem determinadas dimenses-chaves da teoria organizacional que seencontram cada vez mais exacerbadas frente a uma sociabilidade familiar em transformao.
