Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Especificamente, através do entrelaçamento analítico dos contos “The Other Family” (1990) e “On a Cold Day” (1999), buscamos revelar a existência do caráter pedagógico pós-colonial dessa escrita narrativa. Abstract: Towards an understanding of why and how Himani Bannerji’s creative writing carries a specific relevance within Canadian culture, we aim at gathering a critical reflection to cope with identifying, examining and discussing the space and the significance of the author’s work in the context of (South Asian) Canadian Literature. Therefore, we propose an approach to this fictional writing in order to find how the South Asian immigrants in Canada are depicted literarily and discursively by the author. Our theoretical and analytical account is based on the literary criticism of Postcolonialism and Cultural Studies, especially in terms of the pedagogical features of literature. We intend to generate an environment of revision of Canadian historical literary discourse by acknowledging the author’s creative production as meaningful in the expressive context of racial minorities. The analysis of the short-stories “The Other Family” (1990) and “On a Cold Day” (1999) focuses on the postcolonial pedagogical aspect. The symbolic aspect of the narrative language becomes an essential element to our argument. Keywords: South Asian Canadian Literature; migrant women writing; postcolonial pedagogy.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
