Abstract
Cet article porte sur l’analyse d’une interprétation des deux plus récents programmes d’histoire nationale publiés au Québec, leur attribuant l’apprentissage de la pensée : une lecture critique s’appuyant sur les six critères définis par Martineau (1997), premier chercheur à avoir formulé cette interprétation, permettra de révéler une divergence dans trois d’entre eux : 1) le caractère signifiant de l’apprentissage ; 2) la métacognition ; et 3) la fréquence de l’exercice. Cette divergence va justifier la pertinence, d’une part, d’une analyse plus approfondie de ces programmes, et, d’autre part, d’une révision de ces critères en fonction de nouveaux fondements théoriques.
