Abstract
Si presentano i primi risultati dello scavo estensivo condotto nell'insediamento preistorico di Cattolica, via Carpignola (RN). Il sito sorge in prossimità dell'antica linea di costa adriatica e lungo un paleoalveo fluviale. L'insediamento si caratterizza per la presenza di strutture abitative a terra, a pianta rettangolare absidata con fondazioni su buche di palo, piastre di focolari e fosse-silos all'interno e aree di attività esterne. I materiali rinvenuti consentono di individuare in un arco cronologico compreso tra una fase piena del Bronzo Antico e il Bronzo Medio1.
