Abstract
Introdução: O desenvolvimento motor na infância inclui a aquisição de habilidades motoras, que possibilitam para a criança, domínio do seu corpo em diversas posturas, locomoção de diversas formas, e manipulação de objetos e instrumentos variados. Objetivo: Avaliar desenvolvimento motor de lactentes entre 01 a 18 meses de idade incompletos matriculadas em creches públicas no município de Joaçaba (SC). Método: Avaliaram-se 19 crianças que se encontravam matriculadas nas duas creches públicas do município de Joaçaba (SC). Foram coletados dados gestacionais, neonatais, nutricionais, sócio-demográficos e do desenvolvimento motor que foi avaliado por meio da Escala Alberta de Desenvolvimento Infantil (AIMS). Resultados: Foram encontradas 11 crianças classificadas com desenvolvimento motor normal e 08 consideradas com risco e provável atraso no seu desenvolvimento motor. Correlacionando a variável desenvolvimento motor com as demais variáveis não foi observada associação significativa. Conclusão: O monitoramento constante do desenvolvimento motor infantil, pois a detecção precoce propicia uma intervenção precoce de alterações, minimizando seus efeitos do desenvolvimento global da criança.
