Abstract
Ce texte est issu d’une expérience de terrain portant sur la faim endémique observée à Trairi au Brésil en 2005. Proposant un lien étroit entre le discours defomeet la violence structurelle, trois arguments se dégagent de cette note de recherche. Dans un premier temps, les notions théoriques sur lesquelles s’appuie laDéclaration universelle des droits de l’hommene semblent offrir aucune justification à sa création et à sa mise en vigueur. Dans un deuxième temps, un retour sur le débat universaliste relativiste des droits humains crée une opportunité pour rouvrir les discussions sur la spécificité culturelle. Et, dans un troisième temps, l’examen de l’article 11 duPacte international relatif aux droits économiques, sociaux et culturelsmet en relief certaines des ambivalences de l’application du droit à la nourriture dans la communauté de Trairi, soulignant ainsi la présence et la coexistence des espaces de droits et de non-droits. Ce texte vise donc à lancer une réflexion sur les diverses ambiguïtés traversant les idéologies qui sont à la base du concept des droits humains.
